Comments:: Hi.Have just scand through your website andrelived some childhood memories.I was rasied in a from birth to abuot the age of 10 in niddrie marchial housing estate and remember this house (Niddrie House)very well Iwas born in 1952 and I moved house in 1962 the house as you say had been burned out but stood till it was demolished about 1960 to 1961 I remember as a small boy watching with grate interest as it was pulled down ,so your statement read the house was demolished in 1968 I think you should research this to get a more accurate date, but I was realy fasinated none the less to read the history of the Wauchopes, thanks for that, yours Colin Mackay....

My line has stayed mostly in central Illinois and around the Elgin, Illinois area. I am currently trying to trace my line past Samuel Dill Wauchope back to Ireland and eventually Scotland.
